Say Hello to TAO

National Security Agency elite hacking unit TAO

National Security Agency elite hacking unit TAOAllow me to introduce you to the newly exposed NSA Elite hacking unit TAO. This unit has been found, through the NSA’s own internal documents, to have intercepted physical shipments of computers, routers, switches and other components and then installed malware/spyware then allowed the shipment to proceed normally. These interdictions then give the NSA full, unknown, access to these devices anywhere in the world for control and spying. Scared yet? Wait there’s more.

There are massive undersea cables going from continent to continent that allow internet and private data access across the world. A document from the NSA labeled top secret and not-for-foreigners tells of the NSA successfully hacking the “SEA-ME-WE-4” (SMW-4) undersea bundle of cables that connects Europe to North Africa, then on to the Gulf states, India, Pakistan, Malaysia and Thailand. All of this information comes from the German magazine Der Spiegel who has obtained a treasure trove of NSA secret documents, known to have come from NSA leaker Eric Snowden, now living in Russia. This is the third installment of a 3 part series introducing you to the NSA and the TAO unit. You can find part 1 and part 2 here. Part two is interesting in how it details how the NSA/TAO targeted Mexico. Part 1 talks about a suburb in Texas who all of a sudden experienced issues with their garage door openers. Authorities found that a secret, advanced NSA compound was transmitting on the same frequency as the garage door openers and blocking the signal. There is much more to learn, read those three articles and see what you think.

If you’ve never been scared of our government and those who believe they are above any law, you should be after reading these three articles.
